What is kelso shrugs?

Kelso shrugs are a type of intermediate level exercise that primarily work the upper back and shoulder muscles. To perform kelso shrugs, an individual should start by standing with feet hip-width apart and holding a weighted barbell with an overhand narrow grip. The individual should then shrug the shoulders up while simultaneously squeezing the shoulder blades together. After holding the position for a few seconds, the individual should release and repeat the exercise for several repetitions. Kelso shrugs help to strengthen the trapezius, rhomboids, and deltoids while also improving posture and reducing the risk of back and neck pain.
